Double Deck Lifts installed in second phase of logistic upgrades at Willenhall site

A long-standing client, A.F. Blakemore, the largest division of SPAR UK and owning 295 SPAR stores and serving more than 970 in total across England and Wales, enquired for a quote on two additional double deck loading lifts for their site in Willenhall. Having already installed three double deck lifts on the site in 2012 and 2014, the client was impressed with how many roll cages the lift could move in any one cycle and how it was improving loading and off-loading of the growing fleet of standard and urban fixed deck double deck trailers so they felt now was the right time to invest in two more.

The Armo Double Deck Lift model ARDD is a full design package compliant with BS EN 1398. It comes as standard inclusive of hand rails, gates and barriers, fully hydraulic bridging plate, designed for existing as well as new build and with a free standing loading house option available.

With the increasing use of double deck vehicles, Armo’s ARDD lift provides a means of utilising the full volume of the trailer as well as its full carrying capacity. The lifting table is designed specifically to deal with the lifting height requirement and with its large platform it enables fast, efficient and safe loading of a double deck vehicle.

Safety with lifting tables is paramount and all Armo lifts are fully compliant with BS EN 1570 incorporating all the safety features you would expect such as peripheral safe edge with reset feature, chainmesh guards under exposed sides, designed hand rails, barriers and interlocked gates, rupture valves in the unlikely event of hose burst, easily accessible maintenance prop, remote /on-board emergency stop and low voltage dead-man controls.
