Bay upgrade for client in Heywood, Lancashire 

DFS in Heywood came to Armo in August with a requirement to upgrade a level access opening on site. DFS are a leading retailer of high quality, comfy and stylish sofas and have been making them for over 45 years in the UK.

We quoted for Dock Shelters and also our Wheel Alignment Guides, following this the order was placed.

The ARSR Retractable Dock Shelter was supplied in a size of 3600mm overall width, 4900mm overall height and projection of 900mm. The width of the front curtain was 700mm and the length 1500mm.

Our heavy duty retractable dock shelters are suitable for accommodating vehicles of varying heights, whilst at the same time providing an effective seal.

The Wheel Alignment Guides are manufactured with soft radius bends and are supplied for installing centrally to the loading bay, ensuring the reversing vehicle slots between them and docks safely onto the loading bay. These were supplied in a length of 2000mm, 300mm above ground.

Armo managing Director Darrell Hopwood, said of this project “The clients was experiencing issues when it rained and with product getting wet, we were happy to oblige by providing a solution whereby the reversing trailer would be adequately sealed to the door opening and consequently keep the rain out”
