New High Speed Door for Deeside client

A long standing customer of Armo, Great Bear Distribution, got in touch with us in April of this year with a requirement for a new High Speed Door. Great Bear is a leading 3rd party UK logistics business providing nationwide contract logistics and supply chain management services.

We were able to quote quickly and the order was subsequently placed for the door and installation.

Armo’s model ARHS Industrial High Speed Door measured in at 3800mm opening width x 5000mm opening height and with headroom of 500mm. The door had opening and closing speeds of up to 1.2m/s.

The ARHS High Speed Door had a wireless safety edge system and photocell mounted within the line of the door to arrest any door movement should any obstacle be present within the line of the door blade.

The Managing Director of Armo, Darrell Hopwood had this to say: “The existing door was a standard sectional door with push button control and due to increased forklift traffic through this door opening the client needed something faster and automated to cope with the increased workload. Our high speed door was installed onto a sub-frame and positioned behind the existing sectional door, so the existing door provided out of hours security whilst the high speed door could be used during the day”
