Fixed Frame Dock Shelter for Sheffield Logistics Company

A long standing client, Great Bear Distribution, a leading 3rd party UK logistics business providing nationwide dedicated and shared user warehousing and distribution solutions, contacted Armo as they needed four replacement dock shelters, the existing units were suited to standard trailers and Great Bear needed to dedicate four bays to much taller double deck trailers.

We quoted for four Armo Retractable Dock Shelters model ARSR. Each was made to measure with an overall width of 3470mm, overall height of 4050mm, projection of 900mm and the front curtain to have a width of 650mm and head length of 1500mm. The Model ARSR is a heavy-duty shelter suitable for accommodating vehicles of varying heights whilst at the same time providing an effective seal. The side roof and cladding is made from nylon reinforced PVC and the front and head curtains are made from twin nylon filament reinforced PVC. This particular order saw the curtains be installed at a height of 5350mm from yard level making the shelter suitable for overall vehicle heights ranging from 3850mm to 4950mm.

Dock shelter projects are often turned around quickly in 14 to 21 days from receipt of an order and installation onsite for this particular project took just 2 days in total. The retractable shelter is growing in popularity as they help protect goods and staff from the elements and keeping a temperature controlled building at the correct level while the door is open for loading and unloading of vehicles.”
