Dock Leveller installation finishes replacement project at Wrexham site

You may recall a recent news item about how our installation engineers recently installed two non-standard dock levellers at Bender’s in Wrexham. At time of ordering last year, Bender’s placed an order for three levellers but needed to wait for the third to be installed and we were happy to store it at our head office in Telford, Shropshire.

This week we attended site and removed the final old manual dock leveller, which was non-compliant with manual handling regulations, and fitted the new electro/hydraulic swing lip dock leveller. The swing lip model ARSL was a non-standard 2120mm wide x 2700mm long with a pit mounted frame design. The load capacity was 6 tonne meeting British standard for dock leveller’s BS EN 1398.

For this project it was agreed we would not only remove the old levellers but we would also dispose of them too.
