Working with one of the UK Leading Joinery & Fit-Out Contractors working in the Retail, Leisure and Commercial Sectors. Armo are pleased to be part of one of their latest projects in Sheffield, where we have manufactured and installed the following:

1 no. Armo model ARGL Goods Lift

The Armo ARGL Goods Lift can deal with heights up to 4500mm with a range of platform sizes offered by Armo’s comprehensive range of standard scissor mechanisms.

The goods lift was manufactured and supplied by Armo, the lifting capacity is 4000kg and the rising speed is circa 20 seconds.

Safety with lifting tables is paramount and Armo lifts are fully compliant with BS EN 1570 incorporating all the safety features you would expect:

  • Peripheral safe edge with reset feature
  • Chain mesh guards under exposed sides
  • Designed hand rails, barriers and interlocked gates
  • Rupture valves in the unlikely event of hose burst
  • Easily accessible maintenance prop
  • Remote /on-board emergency stop
  • Low voltage dead-man controls

11 no. Steel Personnel Doors

They are robust in design and frame infilled in resin impregnated honeycomb and power coated in Ral 7016 Grey.

5 no. ARMO High Speed Door Insulated Model ARHS

The doors construction was manufactured with an interlocking insulated lath with CFC free polyurethane core, made from anodized aluminium with clear coating.

Rise speeds of 0.5 m/s get the door clear of fast-moving fork lift trucks, but the activation of the door is the most important factor and Armo have an extensive range of activators designed to make your high-speed door installation work exactly the way you want it. ON this occasion it was equipped with an electric slip -on drive and a control box, complete with IP 65 Protection.

1 no. ARMO Model ARSR Retractable Dock Shelter

They are manufactured with a fixed frame. This is the perfect way of protecting goods and employees from the elements and to keep a temperature-controlled facility at the correct temperature while the doors are open during the necessary loading and unloading operations.

1 no. Armo Swing Lip Dock Leveller model ARSL

The swing lip dock Leveller gives the client a robust design and construction. The platforms are made from 6/8 mm tear plate steel, supported by a minimum of 8 longitudinal beams to strengthen the deck but still allowing it to twist through its length to cater for vehicles that are out of level with the Loading Bay.

1 no. Pouring Tray

The pouring trays are manufactured with a suspended frame design with a reversed angle to allow the dock leveller to sit comfortably within the opening of the pouring tray. The trays are fixed down to a solid base and a dry concrete mix is packed around the tray ready for the final concrete pour to complete the pit.

1 set Armo ARDB Loading Dock Buffers

Armo buffers are manufactured from heavy duty solid rubber, fixed to a primed and painted solid steel backing plate using M24 fixings, the plate in turn is bolted back to the dock face to provide a long-lasting solid fixing.

1 no. ARTR LED Traffic Lights and Flashing Beacon

The traffic lights were red over green LED lights, provided in fully sealed black moulded units, complete with small sun visors. These are interlocked to the loading bay, so the light shows green when the door is closed and red whenever the door is open.

The external flashing beacon interlocked to the loading bay door so that the light flashes to advise the driver that the door is open to enable the trailer to safely reverse into the loading bay.

1 set ARBD Wheel Alignment Guides

The wheel guides are manufactured with soft radius bends and are supplied for installing centrally to the loading bay, circa 2000mm from the dock face. The reversing vehicle slots between the guides ensuring that the vehicle docks safely and centrally onto the loading bay.
