Retractable Dock Shelter supplied and installed for transport company in Heathrow

In May 2016, we were contacted by JJL Design for a quote on a retractable dock shelter and rubber dock buffers.  We supplied them with a quote and they subsequently placed the order with us, to be supplied and installed at Kuehne & Nagel in Heathrow.

The order for the Armo Retractable Dock Shelter was ordered to the size of 3500mm in width, 4200mm in height, with projection of 600mm, the width of the front curtain was 650mm and the length of the head curtain was 1600mm. Made from heavy duty nylon, the retractable dock shelter is suitable for vehicles of unpredictable heights whilst at the same time providing an effective seal.

We also supplied them with  rubber dock buffers, made from a heavy duty solid rubber, fixed to a primed and painted solid steel backing plate using M24 fixings.

This is because it caters for a wide range of vehicle fleet with curtains that extend in from the sides and head allowing a vehicle to push through and keep the worst of the elements at bay. The curtains are designed to flex but maintain contact with the rear of the vehicle to maintain the “seal”.
