Mezzanine Lift & Doors supplied and installed for client’s new premises in Norwich

A new client for Armo, Redpack Packaging in Norwich, approached us in January of this year with a requirement for a new between levels Mezzanine Goods Lift complete with shaft enclosure and perforated Roller Shutter Doors to serve both the upper and lower level, at their site in Norwich.

The made to measure mezzanine lift was manufactured at a size of 2100mm x 5100mm, 1100mm deep, with a lift stroke of 4500mm. The client needed the lift to take deliveries from ground level to a height of 4000mm.

The Mezzanine Lift can deal with heights up to 4500mm with a range of platform sizes offered by Armo’s comprehensive range of standard scissor mechanisms. Safety with lifting tables is paramount and Armo lifts are fully compliant with BS EN 1570 incorporating all the safety features you would expect.

The lift was totally enclosed in a pre-fabricated steel structure that incorporated mesh panels with 6mm holes at a 9mm pitch, door openings on the long side of the lift were formed at both the upper and lower level

Finally we installed an ARRS ‘Perforated’ Roller Shutter Doors to each opening, in a width of 5056mm and height of 3000mm. These are manufactured using traditional 75mm deep scrolled interlocking lath. The lath end is locked to prevent lateral movement and the curtain is supplied complete with a bottom ‘T’ bar. The doors were fully interlocked so that both doors have to be closed to enable the lift to run and the doors will not open until the lift has reached the relevant level
