Goods Lift manufactured and installed at Glasgow HQ

Back in November 2015, we were contacted by Laing O’Rourke Scotland, who were working on a project for the new Data Centre of Scottish Power HQ in Glasgow.  They had a requirement for a new Goods Lift, so approached us for a quotation.

Working to provide the best service possible, we attended a meeting to discuss further, and followed this up with our pricing for a model ARGL Armo Extra Flat Table Goods Lift. The quotation was accepted and the client placed their order for supply and installation shortly afterwards.

The Goods Lift ordered was 1000mm width x 1600mm length, with the nominal depth increased to 150mm high to suit the low level raised floor. The lift stroke was restricted to 550mm to suit the upper level raised floor. The load capacity for the lift was 2000kg and the lift was also enclosed in flat sheet steel framework and complete with an interlocked upper level and lower level gate

Safety with lifting tables is paramount and Armo lifts are fully compliant with BS EN 1570 incorporating all the safety features you would expect:

• Peripheral safe edge with reset feature
• Chainmesh guards under exposed sides
• Designed hand rails, barriers and interlocked gates
• Rupture valves in the unlikely event of hose burst
• Easily accessible maintenance prop
• Remote /on-board emergency stop
• Low voltage dead-man controls
