Our Client is a major British online fashion and cosmetic retailer that ships to over 200 countries from fulfilment centres in the UK, US and Europe.

Following a site survey by on or our experienced Project Manager. Armo UK have Manufactured and installed the following:

Firstly, our skilled engineers de-commissioned the existing dock levellers and buffers. This enabled us to fit a new support frame and move the Dock Leveller forward by 150mm. Then we completed all the associated steel works and we re-commissioned the original dock levellers and installed the buffers on the new H frame.

This then enabled us to manufacture and install the 6no ARMO Model ARSR Retractable Stepped Dock Shelters – Double Deck. They are made from good quality materials – in fact the front curtain material started life as abrasion resistant conveyor belting! The retractable frame is made from galvanised steel to make sure it lasts the course when exposed to the elements and just in case the shelter gets accidentally hit the arms are designed to retract out of harm’s way by moving back and up.

This also gives the loading bay access to double deck trailers and keeps expensively generated air in, thus saving on energy, while giving the employees a better-quality environment to work in.

Then we also installed the following on the existing 16 Loading bays, giving a safer loading bay experience.

16 no. – ARBD Wheel Alignment Guides are manufactured with soft radius bends and are supplied for installing centrally to the loading bay, circa 2000mm from the dock face. The reversing vehicle slots between the guides ensuring that the vehicle docks safely and centrally onto the loading bay.

16 no. – ARDL Dock Loading Lights was supplied and installed on the inside of the loading bay door which provides light into every corner of a docked trailer which improves visibility and helps prevent accidents occurring. The light is a 70W system, which was interlocked with the door so that when the door opens, the light will turn on and when the door closes, the light switches off.

16 no. – Trailer Landing Plates are 1000mm wide x 1000mm long and 20mm thick. Manufactured from polyethylene with molecular weight higher than 3 million gr/mol and has excellent abrasion resistance.
