UK's largest food and drink business asked Armo to upgrade an externally mounted Double Deck Lifting Table in Pontyclun, Wales

One of the UK’s largest food and drink businesses, contacted our sales team in November 2013 to upgrade an externally mounted Double Deck Goods Lift for their site in Pontyclun, Wales. After sites inspections and quotes being agreed, Armo (UK) successfully installed a manufactured pit mounted Double Deck Scissor Lift Platform (model ARDD) sized to suit requirements of 3000mm wide, 4850mm length and with a closed height of 700mm. The Armo (UK) Double Deck Lifting Table is designed to cater for double deck trailers reaching heights of 3000mm within 70 seconds and with a load capacity of 5000kg.

The project required the lift to be externally mounted with the flow of goods directly out of a level access door straight onto the scissor lift table, therefore the lift needed to be pit mounted and Armo (UK) undertook the full civil package and building works to create the required 700mm deep pit to accommodate the lift mechanism.

This installation also required an Armo (UK) Insulated Sectional Overhead Industrial Door (model AROD). It was a specification from the client that the scissor lift and sectional overhead door be linked operationally to meet with health and safety requirements. The door tracks are galvanised steel ‘J’ type, designed to give free and easy running for bearing rollers.
