One of the major developments in road haulage recently has been the increasing use of double deck vehicles. They are used extensively as a means of utilising the full volume of the trailer as well as its full carrying capacity. However, the use of these high vehicles on existing distribution buildings can be problematic. Armo has the solution, the Armo Double Deck Lift model ARDD lifting table is designed specifically to deal with the lifting height requirement and with its large platform it enables fast, efficient and safe loading of a double deck vehicle.

Back in July 2015, we were approached by a new client, in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, who had a requirement for a new bespoke load house. Our last project of the year was the Unloading Platform/Scissor Lift which was designed and manufactured by us and then installed in Larne port, Northern Ireland. The Model ARDD Scissor lift is designed with the capability of loading / unload standard single deck trailers, double deck trailers with moveable deck and even double deck trailers with fixed top deck. The plan involves decommissioning and removing 2x old column lifts from the site, converting the bays back to traditional loading areas. These redesigned bays will now be able to accommodate Double-deck Trailers with adjustable top decks. For a free site survey or further technical information, contact us.
