Replacement Dock Leveller for client in Birmingham

In October of this year, A Logistics company, a new customer to Armo, came to us as they were looking to repair a dock leveller.  Our client service the UK’s aerospace, automotive, healthcare, hi-tech, industrial, pharmaceutical and retail sectors with a full range of logistics capabilities.

Armo are specialists in all aspects of repairs for this kind of equipment, with expert, dedicated engineers. We attended site to survey the dock leveller, however it proved to be beyond repair, so we quoted for a brand new replacement. The order was subsequently placed and processed.

We supplied and installed one ARSL Swing Lip Dock Leveller. This was in a size of 2000mm wide x 2500mm length and a minimum pit depth of 610mm. The operating parameters of the leveller was 360mm above dock and 300m below dock.  The lip length was 400mm, complete with a 5° curvature for when loading above dock with a 6 tonne loading capacity in accordance with BS EN 1398.

Darrell Hopwood, Managing Director, said of this project “To enable the works to be undertaken quickly we used a standard dock leveller direct from stock on this one and provided a small infill at the sides and across the rear to make up the existing pit dimensions”
