A long-standing end-user client based in Derbyshire enquired for a quote on a new high-speed industrial door and un-insulated loading tunnel.
After a site visit to truly understand what was required for this project, we were able to quote them for their needs and for the work to be completed over a weekend, as the client needed minimal disruption to the site. An order arrived shortly afterwards for one Armo model ARHS High Speed Industrial Door and un-insulated Loading Tunnel.
The Armo High Speed Door is designed to be cost effective and activated automatically, fitting well within its portfolio of energy saving products. With rise speeds of up to 1.0 m/sec get the door clear of fast moving fork lift trucks but the activation of the door is the most important factor and Armo have an extensive range of activators designed to make your high speed door installation work exactly the way you want it.
For more information on the High Speed Industrial Door including how it is manufactured and the activators available, please download the PDF brochure on the specific product page.
The Armo un-insulated Loading Tunnel was constructed in front of an existing opening to create an ‘airlock’ between existing door and new tunnel door which helps with preventing contamination. This particular tunnel for our client had an overall width of 4550mm with it standing 4500mm at the highest point and an overall length of 9800mm. The steelwork was built using a local trade partner, with the groundwork on site being completed by a national trade partner. The high-speed door was housed within an additional sub frame and the roof had two windows to allow light in.
Darrell Hopwood, Managing Director, said of this project: “This long term client approached us to help solve an issue with this contamination. We were able to offer a key product in the high-speed door and then as an additional problem solver we offered the un-insulated loading tunnel. As a company we were more than happy to offer a weekend install to fit in with their logistic needs.”
Armo also have a Load House designed specifically to deal with Double Deck Trailers if required.
