Largest UK Frozen Provider of Supply Chain Solutions, upgrades it loading bays with Armo UK

The largest UK Frozen Provider of Supply Chain Solutions, has become the latest company to upgrades and control its loading operation with the addition of bespoke loading dock equipment, designed and manufactured by Armo UK.

This upgrade ensures our client is future fit and can give their clients the service they have come to expect from our customer.

The new loading bays enables the existing loading bays to accept a variety of load sizes and the Armo Telescopic Dock Levellers gives and extended reach over tail lift enabling unloading from the very back.

On this project we manufactured, designed and installed the following, while utilising some of the existing safety features already installed.

ARMO Model ARSR Retractable Dock Shelters are manufactured with a fixed frame. This is the perfect way of protecting goods and employees from the elements and to keep a temperature-controlled facility at the correct temperature while the doors are open during the necessary loading and unloading operations.

They cater for a mixed vehicle fleet with curtains that extend in from the sides and head allowing a vehicle to push through and keep the worst of the elements at bay. The curtains are designed to flex but maintain contact with the rear of the vehicle to maintain the “seal opening and protection of the goods are the main criteria.

Finally, there is the bonus of reducing energy costs by reducing the loss of expensively generated warm or cooled air.

Armo ARTL Telescopic Lip Dock Levellers, as the names suggests the dock leveller is suspended from its top edge allowing the underside of the pit to be clear for access by tail lifts. This gives clear access when docking the vehicles. This Model ARTL is in full Compliance with BS EN 1398.

Armo ARDB Loading Dock Buffers are made from heavy duty solid rubber, fixed to a prime and painted solid steel backing plate using M24 fixings and the plate in turn is welded in position to provide a long-lasting solid fixing.
