Goods Lift manufactured and supplied as car lift for residents in Mayfair, London

A London based trade partner recently requested a quote for a heavy duty scissor lift from Armo. Armo were more than happy to provide the client with a competitive quote for the made to order scissor lift. The Mayfair residents existing lift was more than 50 years old and in desperate need of replacement as it was no longer safe to use.

Safety with lifting tables is paramount and Armo lifts are fully compliant with BS EN 1570 incorporating all the safety features you would expect on this type of project:

• Peripheral safe edge with reset feature
• Hydraulic locking pins that stabilise the platform in the upper position
• Rupture valves in the unlikely event of hose burst
• Easily accessible maintenance prop
• Remote /on-board emergency stop
• Low voltage dead-man controls

The client was pleased with the quote they received as well as the advice and information Armo provided for them before the order was processed. Once they had come to their final conclusion on which piece of equipment was required, the order was placed.

The heavy duty scissor lifts dimensions for this project were required to be 2800mm w x 5850mm l. The nominal depth of the Goods Lift was 1200mm and the Lift Stroke was 3100, both were limited to suit site conditions. The lift was bespoke manufactured at 2450mm wide for transportation reasons and it was agreed to be supplied with a bolt on and weld on side bracket, installed by Armo to take up the full required width.

Armo removed and disposed of the old lift before installing the new scissor lift, our trade partner then installed a new car enclosure on top of the Armo lift along with new fully interlocked both on board and upper / lower level concertina doors.
