Armo supply and install non-standard Dock Leveller for manufacturer in Dudley 

Armo won the contract to manufacture, supply and install a non-standard Dock Leveller for a family owned manufacturer in Dudley, West Midlands.

Our Client is still owned and managed by the same family and  the Group employs around 350 people and generates a turnover exceeding £30 million.

From quote to sign off this project took five weeks. The replacement Swing Lip Dock Leveller model ARSL for this project was non-standard so the lead-time increased from that of standard sized dock levellers and made-to-order at our factory. The Swing Lip Dock Leveller manufactured was 1840mm x 2820mm to suit a pit of 610mm.

The 400mm swing lip was complete with a 5° curvature suitable for loading above dock. The load capacity for the made-to-order dock leveller was 6 tonne single axe in accordance with British standard for dock levellers BS EN 1398.

The Swing Lip Dock Leveller is robust in construction and manufactured by Armo’s robotic production line. The swing lip model is more commonly used format in general warehousing and is supplied with a number of standard options. We also installed 250mm x 450mm x 100mm Dock Buffers for this project. The Dock buffers were mounted to onto 15mm thick primed and painted steel backing plates.
