We are pleased to be working with one of the largest waste management company in the United Kingdom. It provides collection, landfill, recycling and special waste services to local authorities and industrial and commercial clients in the UK.
Following a site survey from one of our Project Managers, Armo (UK) have replaced 5no. Dock Levellers with 5no. 9000kg Armo Swing Lip Dock Levellers and heavy-duty buffers. For full details, please see below:
Armo Swing Lip Dock Leveller Model ARSL
They are robust in design and construction; the platforms are made from 6/8 mm tear plate steel, supported by a minimum of eight longitudinal beams to strengthen the deck but still allowing it to twist through its length to cater for vehicles that are out of level. The ARSL is in full compliance with BS EN 1398.
Operation – The push button is held depressed, whereupon the platform will rise to the top of its range and the lip will swing out under control (the operator can constantly monitor the position of the platform and lip while keeping the button depressed). With the lip extended, the button is released and the platform and lip will lower until the vehicle body is sensed, upon which the platform will follow fluctuation in height during loading/unloading. To park the dock leveller, the button is held depressed, causing the leveller to rise and retract the lip. At this point, releasing the button will allow the leveller to “park” and the leveller will return to its parked position.
Loading Dock Buffers model ARDB
Loading Dock Buffers are made from heavy duty solid rubber, fixed to a prime and painted solid steel backing plate using M24 fixings and the plate in turn is welded in position to provide a long-lasting solid fixing. They come complete with front protective plates systems mounted on 150 mm above the dock.
