The Armo retractable Dock Shelter model ARSR, is the most commonly used Dock Shelter because they cater for a mixed vehicle fleet with curtains that extend in from the sides and head allowing a vehicle to push through and keep the worst of the elements at bay. The retractable Dock Shelter for this project was 3450 x 4250 with a 900mm projection and installed at 5250mm from yard level making them suitable for vehicles with a range of height between 3600mm to 4850mm. Special made-to-order sizes are available to suit level entry doors or special size vehicles.

The Dock Shelter’s retractable frame is made from galvanised steel to make sure it lasts the course when exposed to the elements and just in case the shelter gets accidentally hit the arms are designed to retract out of harm’s way by moving back and up.

Retractable Dock Shelters are commonly used on ambient unheated or part heated warehouses where weathering of the opening and protection of the goods are the main criteria.

Armo has many years’ experience in the use of integrated systems for loading bays, the ARSR is commonly initiated by the door control buttons and linked to the operation of external LED traffic lights, to provide safe and efficient control of the loading bay.
