Armo (UK) did a full site survey, this is designed to get the best seal possible. Following the site survey, we suggested a 250mm deep dock seal that will be compress by 100mm to give a good tight seal.
Cushion seals are also known as dock pads. Cushion seals are made using high density closed cell foam encased in heavy duty PVC and wear plates are added in addition to the front material to increase the durability of the seal.
When the vehicle reverses on to the cushion seal it compresses the foam as far as the dock buffers allow thus creating a seal between the vehicle and the building. They were installed at the height of 197 from yard level, making it suitable for vehicle heights ranging from 3600mm to 4000mm.
