Armo Specialist Installation team installed the new Armo Retractable Dock Shelter and an Insulated Vertical Lift Sectional Door. This gave the client a fast-optimum seal for a wide range of vehicles and with the low air movement also catered for ambient temperature required when delivering temperature-controlled food products.

AROD Insulated Sectional Overhead Doors

The Insulated Sectional Overhead Door tracks are our galvanised steel ‘J’ type, which are designed to give free and easy running for bearing rollers. These tracks are mounted onto a heavy-duty galvanised jamb angle. The perimeter of the doors is fully sealed, as well as the intermediate panel joints, providing most effective weather seal to the door. The door panels construction is manufactured using 0.5mm thick hot dipped coated steel on either face, these sheets are bonded together using CFC free foam with a destiny of 40kg/m² K.

Armo Inflatable Dock Shelter model ARIS

The ARIS inflatable dock shelter is growing in popularity as more comprehensive control of vehicles and equipment becomes available. The frame size is like that of a retractable shelter, but the narrow side curtains conceal deflated polyurethane inflatable cushions; the head is similar.

The use of inflatable seals works very simply; the vehicle arrives at the dock usually with an external traffic light showing green, when the warehouse operative is alerted to the presence of the vehicle. Once the fan is energised the cushions fill with high volume, low pressure air and maintain steady contact on the sides and roof of the vehicle providing a good tight seal, reducing the ingress of the elements and keeping in expensively generated warm or cooled air.

Although inflatable seals are made to standard dimensions Armo also provides a service to make special sizes to fit to existing buildings and special applications.
