Armo have upgraded existing Loading Bays with Armo Cushion Seals. They choose the Armo Cushion seals as they are the perfect choice for temperature-controlled stores. The compression of the pad gives a tight seal and maintains the tight control of temperature and energy losses that this type of facility demands.
Cushion seals are also known as dock pads. Cushion seals are made using high density closed cell foam encased in heavy duty PVC and wear plates are added in addition to the front material to increase the durability of the seal.
When the vehicle reverses on to the cushion seal it compresses the foam as far as the dock buffers allow thus creating a seal between the vehicle and the building. They were installed at the height of 197 from yard level, making it suitable for vehicle heights ranging from 3600mm to 4000mm.
