New Dock Levellers and buffers supplied and installed for new client in Hamilton

A new customer to Armo, Stanford Logistics, approached us in December 2016.  They had a project for their Hamilton site, requesting for us to manufacture, supply and install four new Swing Lip Dock Levellers with buffers. Stanford Logistics specialise in warehousing and logistics and the Directors combined have over 60 years experience within Warehousing, Distribution and Logistics.

We promptly responded to the request, welcoming the opportunity to quote. We were able to provide the quotation quickly and once finalised, an order was placed for four ARSL Armo Swing Lip Dock Levellers. These were supplied in a size of 2000mm x 2500mm, with a minimum pit depth of 610mm, mounted onto steel base-frames complete with hand-railing so that the levellers could be mounted externally and butted up to the existing dock face

The operating parameters were 360mm above and 300mm below dock. The lip length was 400mm, complete with a 5° curvature for when loading above dock with a 6 tonne loading capacity in accordance with BS EN 1398.

Darrell Hopwood, The Managing Director of Armo, had this to say “Our client actually placed this order with us over the Christmas shutdown, we got the  frames manufactured and the installation onsite complete within 3 weeks!”
