New Dock Levellers & Cushion Seals for Liverpool client

In October this year, McBurney Refrigeration came to us, as they had a requirement for 4 new Dock Levellers and 5 new Cushion Seals. McBurney are a leading provider of complete temperature controlled transport and warehousing throughout UK & Ireland with depots in Liverpool & Dublin.

Following our quotation, the order was subsequently placed and the following were supplied for installation.

Four ARSL Swing Lip Dock Levellers were supplied in a size of 2000mm width x 2500mm length, with a minimum pit depth of 600mm. The operating parameters were 300mm both above and below dock. The lip length was 400mm, complete with a 5° curvature for when loading above dock with a 6 tonne loading capacity in accordance with BS EN 1398.

Five ARCS Cushion Seals were supplied in a opening size of 2420mm width, 3000mm height, the overall width was 2930mm and overall height 3600mm. The projection was 400mm. These heavy duty cushion seals dock shelters are suitable for accommodating vehicles of similar heights, whilst at the same time providing the optimum seal.

Armo Managing Director Darrell Hopwood, said of this project “The levellers were installed into existing load-houses complete with all required support steelwork, in this temperature sensitive environment the client opted to replace the existing dock shelters for dock seals to improve the seal between docked trailer and loading bay, over a few orders we have now replaced most loading bay product on this site”
