Loading Bay equipment supplied and installed for Stevenage customer

Kolak Snack Foods, who were a new customer to Armo, came to us in August 2016, looking for some loading bay equipment for their site in Stevenage. Kolak are a leading manufacturer of crisps and snack based products.

We were asked to quote for supply and installation of 7 new ARSR Retractable Dock Shelters and 7 sets of ARTR LED Traffic Lights for the loading bays. We quoted following this and the order was placed for the work to be carried out.

The dock shelters were supplied in an overall width of 3500mm, 4200mm height, with a projection of 600mm. The width of the front curtain was 700mm and the length 1600mm. Our heavy duty dock shelters are suitable for accommodating vehicles of varying heights, whilst at the same time providing an effective seal.

The traffic lights were red over green LED lights, provided in fully sealed black moulded units, complete with small sun visors. These are interlocked to the loading bay, so the light shows green when the door is closed and red whenever the door is open.

In addition to this, we also carried out replacement work on the existing roller shutter doors, installing new bottom ‘T’ bars and retro fitting full width ‘D’ shaped bottom seals.
