Working with a long term construction partner, Armo UK were awarded a contract to return a warehouse in Manchester back to its former glory. Armo (UK) was appointed as sole contractor for the project as the loading bay provider.

After the property had been vacated, it was clear the current Loading Bays and Dock Levellers needed to be refurbished and serviced. After a site visit, Darrell Hopwood, Armo UK’s Managing Director, was able to quote for six existing dock levellers to be fully serviced on site and twelve to be refurbished.

The six dock levellers to be fully serviced also needed to have the dock buffers replaced at each loading bay area, as well a clean and re-paint each leveller, re-fix existing control panel and finally test and fully commission each.

The twelve dock levellers to be refurbished were in such a condition they were removed from site and taken to the Armo (UK) head office in Telford, Shropshire to undergo a compete refurbishment. This refurbishment included; using off the shelf spare parts, supply brand new control panels for each dock, structural tests, checking hydraulic parts, replacing dock buffers and more. The remaining ten Dock Levellers had pouring trays manufactured to spec and to accommodate the existing leveller frame design.

Armo were also able to provide onsite, Wheel Alignment Guides for each Loading Bay, heavy duty nylon reinforced PVC retractable Dock Shelters, LED Traffic Light systems and Loading Dock Buffers.
