Goods Lift manufactured and installed at Barnsley site
A new customer to Armo, MG Access, contacted us for a quote for a made to measure Goods Lift for their client in Barnsley. Fultons Foods, a well known Yorkshire Brand trading for over 50 years, operates from over 100 stores in the North of England. The building was still under construction, so said they would be able to build to suit our needs and requirements. Armo were happy to provide a quote, which we did promptly.
A few weeks later an order was placed for the Armo ARGL Goods Lift. The lift was manufactured in a width of 1160mm, a length of 1970mm and nominal depth of 350mm. The lift stroke was 2000 (maximum). The load capacity was 500kg for a partially distributed load and the order required a roller blind for the goods lift to be positioned on one short exposed side.
Safety with lifting tables is paramount and Armo lifts are fully compliant with BS EN 1570 incorporating all the safety features you would expect:
- Peripheral safe edge with reset feature
- Chainmesh guards under exposed sides
- Designed hand rails, barriers and interlocked gates
- Rupture valves in the unlikely event of hose burst
- Easily accessible maintenance prop
- Remote /on-board emergency stop
- Low voltage dead-man controls
Darrell Hopwood, Managing Director, said of this project: “On this particular job product was entering at the upper level on one short side (Warehouse level) so we provided an interlocked gate to provide fall off protection, the lift was enclosed with side walls so we just then needed an on board gate at the opposite short end to prevent product fall off protection as the lift lowered to shop floor level”
